About Yogik

Yogik is a home goods brand founded in 2017, based in New Jersey. We make bath and kitchen goods built on construction and restraint — 600 GSM zero-twist cotton towels and high-borosilicate glass storage with bamboo lids. Two categories today, with more planned. Every product has to earn its place by performing well enough to keep for years.
New Jersey, United States. We sell online at yogik.com. We don't have a physical store — if a product page doesn't answer your question, email hello@yogik.com and we'll help directly.
Our towels are made in China from 100% cotton. We're honest about origin — the standard lives in the construction and the spec, not in a country label. We don't claim a cotton pedigree we don't have.

Towels

GSM is grams per square meter — a measure of a towel's weight and density. 600 GSM sits between good hotel towels (400–500) and spa linens (700+). Heavy enough that you feel it in the hand and it stays put on the hook. Not so heavy that it takes days to dry.
In most towels the cotton yarn is twisted tight, which closes the loops. Zero-twist leaves the yarn untwisted, so the loops stay open. Open loops take on more water, release it faster to your skin, and relax into a softer hand over the first six months of use. The trade-off is one rule: no fabric softener.
Fabric softener coats the cotton loops with a waxy residue that reduces absorbency by up to 40%. What feels like softness is a coating fighting the cotton — zero-twist cotton is softer without it. Skip dryer sheets for the same reason. If absorbency drops over time, run one hot wash with a cup of white vinegar and no detergent to clear the buildup.
No. They're 100% cotton, but we don't hold an organic certification and we won't claim one. What we can tell you is the construction: 600 GSM, zero-twist, honest measurements. The quality is in the spec, not in a badge.
Same towel, three ways to buy. The Set is six pieces in one color — two bath, two hand, two wash. The Home Set is twelve pieces in one color, enough to run a full bath on one palette, at 15% less than two Sets. The Duo is twelve pieces across any two of our twelve colors, at 10% less than two Sets.
Bath towel: 27 × 58 inches. Hand towel: 20 × 30 inches. Wash cloth: 13 × 13 inches. Each Set includes two of each size.
Not yet. Today every towel ships as a six-piece Set. Individual pieces and larger sizes are on our roadmap as we expand the packaging. If there's a size you want, email us — we track requests.
The darker colors — Navy, Burgundy, Heather, Steel Gray, Hazel — release a small amount of dye in the first two or three washes, as cotton does. Wash them separately at first. After that they hold. Tumble dry low; high heat is what fades color over time.

Glass Storage

High-borosilicate glass — the same glass family used in labware and heat-resistant cookware. It handles temperature swings better than ordinary soda-lime glass, doesn't cloud, and won't hold stains or odor. The lids are bamboo with a food-safe silicone seal.
The glass body is safe in all four. Use it in the oven with the lid removed, within the temperature limit printed on the base. It's not for stovetop, broiler, or open flame — borosilicate handles oven heat, not direct heat. Keep the bamboo lid out of the oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
No. Let a frozen container sit out for a few minutes first. Any glass can crack from a sudden swing between very cold and very hot — that's thermal shock, and it's the one rule that matters with glass. Same in reverse: set a hot container on a cloth or trivet, not a cold or wet countertop.
Hand wash only — never the dishwasher. Heat and standing water warp and crack bamboo. Wipe with mild soap, dry fully, and don't soak. Every few months, rub in a little food-safe mineral oil, the same way you'd treat a wood cutting board. Do that and the lids last for years.
Yes. Borosilicate glass is inert — it doesn't leach into food or take on flavors, which is the main reason to move away from plastic. The lids are bamboo and the seal is food-safe silicone. There's no plastic in contact with your food.
The silicone seal set into the lid groove is what makes the lid airtight — press it in fully before use. You can lift the seal out to clean underneath, where moisture can collect, then push it back into place.
